Fort Gibson Community Flood Information 2019

JUNE 4 UPDATE...

Tdap shots:
The final time for you to get your Tdap shot will be Wednesday, June 5th. The Health Department will be offering tetanus shots (Tdap)  from 2pm to 7pm at the FRONT of the Old Gym at the Fort Gibson High School.  The address is 500 S Ross, use emergency entrance marked F and follow the signs.  The shot is recommended for those who have NOT had the vaccine in the past 5 years.  If you are unsure please come and nurses will be able to answer your questions. This vaccine is recommended for volunteers that have been working or those who were in the flood water.  The vaccine will be available to adults and children 10 and older.

 

MAY 30 UPDATE...

Tdap shots:
Tonight, THURSDAY, May 30th the Health Department will be offering tetanus shots (Tdap)  from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the FRONT of the Old Gym at the Fort Gibson High School.  The address is 500 S Ross, use emergency entrance marked F and follow the signs.  The shot is recommended for those who have NOT had the vaccine in the past 5 years.  If you are unsure please come and nurses will be able to answer your questions. This vaccine is recommended for volunteers that have been/ will be working or those who were in the flood water.  The vaccine will be available to adults and children over 10 years old.

Resource/distribution Center:
The back of the OLD Gym at the High School will continue to accept and distribute donations from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.  Please see the Fort Gibson Open Forum on Facebook for a complete updated list of current needs for donation or contact Haley Norman 918-781-3027. Please call if you are needing supplies delivered to you.  No clothing will be accepted at this time.

 

MAY 28 UPDATE..

This vaccine is recommended for volunteers that have been working or those who were in the flood water.  The vaccine will be available to adults and children 10 and older.

Tetanus Shots...
Monday, May 27th the Health Department will be offering tetanus shots (Tdap) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the FRONT of the Old Gym at the Fort Gibson High School.  The address is 500 S Ross, use emergency entrance marked F and follow the signs.  The shot is recommended for those who have NOT had the vaccine in the past 5 years.  If you are unsure please come and nurses will be able to answer your questions. This vaccine is recommended for volunteers that have been working or those who were in the flood water.  The vaccine will be available to adults.

Donation/Distribution Center...

Hot Meals...
For hot meals daily, the American Legion located at 201 SE Railroad Rd will be serving food 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.  These meals are free and available to all.

Basketball Camp...
FG Schools will be hosting a FREE basketball camp on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, May 28-30. This is for all Fort Gibson Students interested in attending. We know it is a stressful time and would love to allow your kids a few days of fellowship and fun during this difficult situation. Drop them off and allos us to feed them and coach them while you tend to any needs you may have.
Camp Details...
Students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade - drop-off at the Fieldhouse at 8:30am and pick-up at 11:30.

Students entering 7th grade through 9th grade - drop-off at the Fieldhouse at 11:00am and pick-up at 2:30.

Meal will be served from 11:00 - Noon in the Fieldhouse.

All campers will get a free T-shirt and daily meal.

Kindergarten - 6th grade campers bring your swimsuits to swim daily from 11:15am -noon. Lifeguards will be on duty. Don't forget your towels!

Any campers that pre-paid for the camp will have their money returned. Details on reimbursement will be coming soon.

We are proud and fortunate to live in such a great community!
