SPELLING (5 minutes):

Hand out Spelling Study Guide and review spelling pattern with students. Pass out Spelling Packet. Students will complete Spelling WS pg. 8-9.

READING (60 minutes):

Discuss context clues and vocabulary using pgs. 32-39 (Reading Workshop). Students will complete Vocabulary WS, pgs. 11 and 17. Discuss rereading, problem and solution, genre, idioms, and vocabulary using pgs. 40-43 (Reading Workshop). Students will complete Fluency WS pg. 13-15.

Scootpad (Enrichment): Students will work on IXL or Scootpad when finished with homework.

READING (60 minutes): Read and discuss Second Day, First Impressions, pgs. 30-39, with students (Literature Anthology). As we read, complete Reading WS pg. 12 with students. Students will complete Reading WS pg. 16. Students will complete QUAN: The Scavenger Hunt.

Scootpad (Enrichment): Students will work on IXL or Scootpad when finished with homework.

GRAMMAR (15 minutes): Do Daily Language Activity (sentences) with students. Students will complete Grammar Quiz, WS pg. 10.

SPELLING (15 minutes):

Students will get out a sheet of paper and number to 25 for Spelling Test. Pick up any signed study guides. Read the word and students will write the word. Students will turn in the test when finished.

READING (60 minutes):

Review skills and vocabulary. Pass out Selection Test and Weekly Assessment. Students will take both tests and will turn in the test when finished.

Scootpad (Enrichment): Students will work on IXL or Scootpad when finished with homework.

SS (45 minutes): Students will take Chapter 6 Test.

WRITING (90 minutes):

Review 5-Paragraph Informative Essays. Pass out Writing Packet pgs. 28-33. Students will follow the directions on the writing prompt. Students must have a 4Square, an essay, and a writer’s checklist. 

Scootpad (Enrichment): Students will work on IXL or Scootpad when finished with homework.
