It is a GREAT day for school!
“nihao” (Chinese for Hello)
“There is no such thing in anyone’s life as an unimportant day.”
- What a great start to our school year! Thanks go out to staff, parents, and kids for being so prepared to get the year started well.
- This is a good time to discuss with kids how important it is to “report” potential problems (instead of “snitching”). With our first football game kicking off soon, it is also a good time to discuss sportsmanship. Discuss character and the type of reputation that they want our school to have. Utilize “Character” principles in the discussion when possible.
- Thank a bus driver this week for keeping our kids safe each day.
- An important component of our School Strategic Plan is to support our extra-curricular activities. Our softball team has started their school year off and they are working to make it back to state! Football has kicked off their scrimmage season, cheer leading has been preparing every day, and cross country begins this weekend. FFA and band are gearing up along with plans for our school play. Please talk up all areas of extra curricular participation including little league sports and church activities. Let kids know that you notice.
- Activities for the week:
Monday – MS and HS softball vs Wagoner
Tuesday – Softball vs Hilldale, MS softball at Hilldale, FFA dinner at Wagoner, ELC Curriculum night
Wednesday – Early out Wednesdays begin
