News for Parents & Back-to-School Information 2017-2018

  •   The 2017-2018 school year will begin on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 7:55 a.m. We would like to share some information and dates that we feel may be helpful for the new school year.

  •   6th grade students and their parents are invited to a 6th grade orientation on Monday, August 14, 2017 in the main cafeteria across from the administration building. Schedules and locker combinations will be passed out from 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    An informational meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. Students and parents will be given an opportunity to locate classrooms, briefly meet teachers, and practice opening lockers.

  •   Students in athletics are required to have a current physical, dated after May 1, 2017, on file before they may participate in any practice or game.

  •   On the first day of school, Wednesday, August 16, 2017, Middle School students will go to their 1st hour class.

  •   On the back is the current dress code for Middle School.

  •   6th grade students need the following school supplies:

One three-ring notebook (at least 2 inch ring size/ no Trapper Keepers) 8 dividers with tabs (to use in three-ring notebook)

Five number 2 lead pencils Two erasers

Two red ink pens

One zippered pencil pouch

School Scissors
Glue Sticks (12 pack)
One box of colored pencils
One small pencil sharpener
Four 100 sheet wide-rule composition notebooks
One yellow highlighter pen
35 clear document cover sheets
Two black (low-odor only) EXPO dry-erase fine-tip markers
One braded pocket folder
One set of earbuds or headphones to be used with personal computer device. Does not have to be new. Use permanent marker to write your student’s name on earbuds or headphones.

Note: During the year, the teacher may require additional supplies.

Calculators are not required for math class.
